Open Access Statement

Universa Medicina provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Articles are freely available to subscribers and the wider public with permitted reuse.

All articles published in Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA). Authors and readers can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as well as remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, but they must give appropriate credit (cite to the article or content), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. If you remix, transform or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

Permission to Publish and Copyright Transfer Agreement

Upon acceptance of your manuscript by Universa Medicina you assign to us (on behalf of all authors), Universa Medicina (Univ Med) will disseminate your work to the fullest extent. The authors hereby transfer all copyrights in and to the manuscript in all forms and media, now or hereafter known, to the Publisher of Universa Medicina. The authors reserve all proprietary rights other than copyright, such as patent rights. Everyone listed as an author in this article should have made a substantial, direct, intellectual contribution to the work and should take public responsibility for it. This paper contains works that have not previously been published or are not under consideration for publication in other journals (print the Copyright Transfer Agreement form).

In submitting an article to the Universa Medicina,  I certify that:

  1. I am authorized by my co-authors to enter into these arrangements.
  2. I warrant, on behalf of myself and my co-authors, that:
  • ​​The article is original, has not been formally published in any other peer-reviewed journal, and is not under consideration by any other journal
  • The article contains nothing unlawful, libellous, or which would, if published, constitute a breach of contract or confidence or commitment given to secrecy;
